IRIB launches a Spanish-language channel





The Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) has inaugurated a Spanish-language international HD channel, Hispan TV, which broadcasts round-the-clock news, entertainment, and educational programs.
The 24/7 television network, which was launched during an inauguration ceremony in the Iranian capital, Tehran, on Tuesday, is the third specialized channel launched by the IRIB after the Arabic language Al-Alam television network and the 24-hour English-language Press TV.
The ceremony was attended by Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi, Head of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) Ezzatollah Zarghami, and Head of the IRIB World Service Mohammad Sarafraz as well as ambassadors and representatives from Latin American countries.
